St. Nicholas Academy is quite literally wrapped around Catholic faith and tradition. The church is the center of our building and the classrooms surround it. This focal point reminds students at every turn that Christ is the reason for our school.
Children attend student planned liturgies weekly. There are many opportunities for involvement. Students participate as servers, lectors, musicians, liturgical dancers, gift bearers, and Eucharistic Ministers. Older students serve as mentors to younger ones to help foster community spirit and participation. Other opportunities for faith formation include prayer, penance and thanksgiving services.
Sacramental preparation is supported by the school in each of the covenanted parishes.
From an early age children learn Christian Stewardship through our unique Seeds of Service Program. Age appropriate service projects are implemented in each grade level. Projects vary from year to year.
