St. Nicholas Academy Lunch Service

Dear Parents, Students, and Staff, 

We are pleased to inform you that St. Nicholas Academy will be operating a hot lunch program for the 2007-2008 school year. Please note the information below.

Lunches will consist of a main entrée and at least two side items. A hot dog on a bun or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich will be offered as an alternative to the main entrée. Orders will be taken in homeroom in the morning.

Lunches will be sold for $2.25 each/$11.25 per week and will include one drink, additional drinks are .25 cents each. If your student chooses to pack, but wishes to buy a drink, the cost is .25 cents. Extra entrees are $1.00 each. All monies sent to school must be sent in an envelope with each student. These envelopes must be clearly marked with student name, grade, and a list of what the payment includes.  All payments are to be made payable to St. Nicholas Academy. You may prepay as many lunches as you wish. Please send first payment(s) with your child on the first day of school.

All lunch and drink money will be collected by the student’s homeroom teacher each morning. Even if your student is packing and purchasing only 1 drink, the .25 cents will be collected in the morning by the teacher. This eliminates children carrying (losing) money during the school day. Please be sure to use a clearly marked envelope.

Students will not be allowed to charge lunches. Occasionally, a student may forget to bring lunch money. In that case, the student will be offered a hot dog, or peanut butter and jelly sandwich and one of the side items for that day. Payment should be made for these lunch items the following day.

Menus will be sent home monthly.

Complete Lunch      $2.25                              Milk              .25

Main Entrée Only    $1.00                              Side items     .50

Healthy snack items may be offered during lunch time for .35 to .65 cents.
